Security Architect ensures :

Alignment of systems and organization with the organization’s security requirements and applicable laws and regulations

The Security Architect designs, develops and monitors the implementation of network and computer security structures for an organization, ensuring that security requirements are adequately addressed in all aspects of the infrastructure and that the system supports organizational processes - Documents and addresses the organization’s information security, Cybersecurity architecture and systems security engineering requirements throughout the systems lifecycle - Plans, develops and researches robust security architectures for systems and networks - Researches current and emerging technologies to understand the capabilities of required networks or systems - Researches and develops a systems security context and defines security assurance requirements based on industry standards and Cybersecurity policies and practices - Defines and reviews technology and information systems of the organization, and ensures that they comply with security requirements - Ensures that systems and architectures acquired or developed comply with the organization’s Cybersecurity policies and practices - Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Stakeholder Awareness

Designs, delivers and supervises training materials on Cybersecurity and awareness of the secure use of systems - Organizes and provides stakeholder awareness

Risk Management Support

Conducts vulnerability testing, risk analysis and security assessments - Conducts security reviews, identifies gaps or determines the capability of security architectures and designs (e.g. firewalls, VPNs, routers, servers, etc.) and develops a security risk management plan - Collaborates with key stakeholders to establish an effective security risk management program - Advises on security requirements and risk management process activities

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

Supports incident management and post-disaster analysis that informs recovery operations - Recognizes appropriate disaster recovery plans and business continuity functions, including failover or backup requirements for system restoration
